BibleBless Mobile Application - Terms of Service

Welcome to BibleBless! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BibleBless mobile application (the "App"), which is available on the Google Play Store and App Store. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies or guidelines we may provide. We may update these Terms from time to time, and any changes will be effective immediately upon posting. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.

2. Eligibility To use BibleBless, you must be at least 13 years old. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are using the App on behalf of a minor, you agree to supervise their use and be responsible for ensuring that they comply with these Terms.

3. Description of Service BibleBless is a mobile app designed to provide users with Bible-related resources, daily devotionals, and the ability to chat and ask questions about Bible verses. The App leverages various third-party services, such as Firebase and Flutter plugins, to provide its functionality. The services offered may vary from time to time, and we reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features without prior notice.

4. User Accounts To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account using Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account, and you must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating your account and to update it as necessary.

5. In-App Purchases BibleBless may offer in-app purchases and subscriptions through the App. By making a purchase, you agree to our payment terms. Purchases are processed through the App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms and conditions. All sales are final, and we do not offer refunds, except as required by applicable law or at our sole discretion. You are responsible for managing your subscriptions and any charges incurred.

6. Third-Party Services BibleBless uses various third-party services and Flutter plugins, such as Firebase Analytics, Remote Config, and others listed in our dependencies. These services help us provide features such as user authentication, analytics, and notifications. You understand and agree that we are not responsible for the performance of these third-party services and that your use of these services is subject to their terms of service and privacy policies. We make no warranties or representations regarding the reliability or availability of these services.

7. Permissions The App may request permissions to access certain features of your device, such as notifications, camera, or internet connectivity, in order to provide a better user experience. You may choose to grant or deny these permissions. Please note that denying permissions may limit some functionalities of the App. For example, denying notification permissions may prevent you from receiving important updates or reminders. By granting permissions, you acknowledge that BibleBless may collect and use certain data to enhance your experience with the App.

8. Content and Intellectual Property All content available in BibleBless, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on our content without prior written permission. BibleBless grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. Unauthorized use of the App or its content may result in termination of your access and potential legal action.

9. Prohibited Activities You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purposes or engage in activities that are prohibited by these Terms, including but not limited to:

• Misusing the chat feature to spread harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content.

• Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.

• Engaging in activities that violate the rights of others, including intellectual property rights and privacy rights.

• Using automated systems, such as bots or scripts, to access or interact with the App.

• Attempting to interfere with the proper functioning of the App, including by overloading servers or introducing harmful code such as viruses.

• Collecting or harvesting any personal data from other users without their consent.

10. Chat Feature and Content Disclaimer The chat feature in BibleBless is intended to provide general Bible-related information and guidance. The content provided through the chat is generated for informational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional counseling, theological advice, or crisis intervention. BibleBless does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information provided through the chat feature. Users should use their own discretion and judgment when using this feature.

11. Audio Playback and Media The App provides audio playback features, including readings of Bible verses and devotionals. These audio features are for personal use only, and you may not redistribute, modify, or use the audio content for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Unauthorized use may result in the termination of your access to the App and potential legal action.

12. Data Collection and Usage BibleBless may collect data related to your usage of the App, including data provided through the chat feature, in order to improve the quality of the App and provide better services to users. All data collection and usage practices are in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR. By using the App, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Devotionals and Biblical Interpretations BibleBless provides daily devotionals and interpretations of Bible verses. These devotionals are based on traditional or commonly accepted interpretations of Biblical texts and are intended to offer inspiration and reflection. However, the content is not binding and may vary based on different theological perspectives. Users are encouraged to explore and interpret the Bible on their own, and BibleBless does not guarantee that the devotionals will reflect all denominational beliefs or practices.

14. Termination We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion, without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in any activities that we deem inappropriate or harmful to others. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease, and you must delete all copies of the App from your device. We also reserve the right to delete your account and any related data, subject to our Privacy Policy.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be free from errors, interruptions, viruses, or other harmful components, or that it will be secure or available at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You acknowledge that your use of the App is at your sole risk.

16. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BibleBless shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, to access or use the App. You agree to indemnify and hold BibleBless, its affiliates, and its employees harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

17. Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Oldenburg, Germany. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purpose of litigating any claims.

Your continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must discontinue your use of the App.
